When I have a headache or some other minor issue, I rarely reach for the medicine cabinet anymore. I am not saying that I will not take an ibuprofen if I absolutely need one, but I try to exhaust other options first. Why add one more chemical to my body if I don’t have to do so? The Top 15 Anti-Inflammatory foods are:

Many of these foods are already in my diet on a daily basis because I add them to my smoothie first thing every morning. Prevention is always better than postvention when it comes to inflammation…and smoothies are a great way to build some of these anti-inflammatory foods into your daily routine. Another great way to get some of this into your diet is through herbal teas. Whole Foods carries a great Ginger and Turmeric Tea. And if you already have a headache or some other inflammatory issue…the warmth of a cup of tea can be soothing. Next time you feel like you could use a Tylenol….think about this list and what you could eat to deal with the problem. I am still always surprised when it works!

I have been making your smoothie every morning for the last 2 weeks and now feel exactly like you do when I don't have one, like something's missing. Agree completely about exhausting other options before reaching for the medicine cabinet!
