The biggest thing that I do that helps me to live this lifestyle is planning. That doesn't just mean planning for the expected...like what am I having for breakfast, lunch, and dinner...it means planning for the unexpected. I always have snacks on hand. In my purse right now, you will find a stash of grass fed beef sticks and olives (packed neatly in a pouch). Both are found at Trader Joes. They are filling and delightful. When I find myself stuck in traffic and hungry....I don't even feel tempted to cheat. Here is a list of ideas of "purse snacks":
Prunes
Dark Chocolate (1-2 squares only...don't go wild!)
Raisins
Grass Fed Beef Sticks (Trader Joes)
Turkey Jerky
Olives (in a pouch....found at TJ's)
Clementines
Apricots
Dark Chocolate covered Almonds (in moderation!)
Be creative...and mix it up. When you get sick of the same "purse snacks"....change it up and try something else on the list for a while.
